This is the third day of Romania Youth Leadership Forum 2010, and these are the impressions of an OC member. Currently attending the morning session on Emotional Intelligence, I cannot help noticing that in spite of the three hours of sleep I managed to get last night, I am actually pleased with myself, with the people around me and the great team I have the oportunity to work with. The past three days have been hectic. Not only because of the fact that we have more than 400 delegates moving around the hotel all the time, we have coffee breaks to organize, pictures to take, people to hug (we love you, Ale! :D), schedules to keep up with, sessions to attend, delegates to serve and t-shirts to give, but also because of this feeling that RYLF gives you, that makes you want to be part of everything. If there is one thing I regret, is that there is only one of me, and I can’t be in 10 places at the same time. We had some amazing speakers here, amazing moments and of course, there are some amazing delegates who I haven’t managed to meet yet. Luckily, I have the love of the OC team to make up for it :).
Yesterday someone I met at the hotel, and wasn’t a part of the conference, told me a great thing, that we are “this country’s future hope”. I also felt that when ,at the evening plenary, I saw the “Geneva” room full of energetic people, for which values like change for the better, proactivity, positive impact and excellence are not just words written in a power point presentation. It’s good to feel part of something big. This whole conference gives people a very good vibe.
If there is anything that I could recommend you is to grab the opportunity to be part of an organizing committee. It’s one of the most intense, rewarding and fun experiences AIESEC has to offer.
With love,
The OC.
